The Detroit Institute for Children (DIC) has been providing specialized diagnostic, medical and rehabilitative care to children with disabilities since 1920; however, The DIC's legacy of caring for children with disabilities dates back to 1904. Our mission: To care for children with physical or developmental disabilities, neurological or behavioral special needs in a way that is positive, passionate, and family-centered.
